Biography: Cecily Ogechi Nwokocha Was Born On The 15th Day Of Jan, 1977 To The Family Of BENNETH And PATRICIA NWOKOCHA Of The Blessed Memory In Ahiazu Mbaise Imo State Nigeria. He Started His Career At Central School Nnarambia In 1984 And Mater Ecclesiae Seminary In 1990 Where He Got The West African School Certificate In 1995 With Distinctions. He Further Proceeded To Enugu State University Of Science And Technology, Nigeria In 1998 Where He Graduated In Industrial Physics In 2002. After His National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) In 2004 His Quest For Knowledge And Academic Development Drove Him To Imo State University Owerri Nigeria For A Graduate Study Where He Graduated In Atmospheric Physics In 2008 In The Department Of Physics And Industrial Physics. During This Period He Joined The Atmospheric Physics Research Group Of The University Where They Undertook Research Works That Gave Rise To Publishing In Peer Reviewed Journals. He Belongs To Different Professional Bodies Which Include European Geoscience Union (EGU), African Geoscience Union (AGU), Renewable And Alternative Energy Society Of Nigeria (RAESON), Nigerian Institute Of Physics (NIP) And Athens Institute For Education And Research (ATINER). His Research Interests In Physics Are On Atmospheric/Environment And Energy Physics And This Has Taken Him To Both National And International Conferences Where Lectures Are Presented For Peer Review Born Out Of His Researches. Cecily Had Attended A Conference At The University Of Cape Town South Africa In 2009 On Climate Change And African Earth Systems Past, Present And Future As Organized By The European Geoscience Union Where He Received The Best Photographic Award. On Completion Of His Masters, He Was Appointed Lecturer (2) In 2009 At Alvan Ikoku Federal College Of Education Owerri, Nigeria Where He Serves As A Lecturer. He Headed Many Ad Hoc Committees And Has Held Many Positions In The Department IncludingTime-Table And Exam Officer For Which Positions He Occupy Until January 2017 He Was Officially Appointed As The Acting Head Of The Department. He Has For So Many Times Acted For The Previous Heads Of The Department To Prove His Ability To Offer Good Leadership Under Dire Conditions. Cecily Is A Co- Investigator Of An Institution Based Research Project Titled Developing Mechanism For Optimal Utilization Of Renewable Energy In Nigeria Which Is On-going Now By The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Which Is The Highest Body In The Education Sector In Nigeria. Currently He Is Pursuing His PhD In Environmental Physics At The University Of Portharcourt, Nigeria Where He Is Investigating The Seasonality Of Air Quality And Impacts On Visibility In The Niger Delta Region Nigeria. He Lives In Owerri, Nigeria And Married To Mrs Nelly-Cecily Nwokocha And The Marriage Is Blessed With Three Children.
